So, turns out, there's no oxygen up here!!! Yes, I knew it was coming, but I had never put this much time in the pool up here before...it's nuts. Every time you take a breath, you only get half the good ol' O2.
That's ok...I'm enjoying it and will be all the more fit for it.
Yesterday was only a one workout day as the pool was closed and I ran about 11.5 miles. It's been awhile since I've put in a solid run like that up at this alt., but I rather enjoyed it. It going to take some getting used to, but won't take long. I've got to take another trip back to Texas for Thanksgiving next week, then to Kansas for Christmas w/ Resie's family...but after that it's head down and long, hard training through to the summer.
This morning was a great pool workout ending up with about 3200yd...which is the longest I've put in the pool in a while, and certainly more than I've ever done up here. I'm still nowhere near the yardage I need to be at, but I'll get there.
Well, that's about it for now. Run 45 min. easy and core workout later w/ Mr. Harwin.
Hasta later
